However, none of the crew have decided to finalize the song. Adding more about the film, Suraaj continues that it will be a commercial entertainer. Pratap Pothan plays the role of Dhanush's father and duo combo of fathers-son role will be the main highlight in the film. Dhanush celebrates birthday

Actor Dhanush celebrates his birthday on the 28th of July (today). The actor however is in Hyderabad shooting for the film 'Padikathavan'. In view of this, the actor's fans had an advanced birthday celebration at a Kalyana Mandapam in Saligramam recently. On that occasion certain fans wanted to christen him with the title 'Ilaya Superstar' with obvious reference to him being superstar Rajinikanth's son-in-law. Dhanush however refused to accept the title saying he does not deserve it. This refusal did not stop his fans from celebrating big time. After 'Padikathavan' Dhanush would be back with the 'Polladhavan' team for a new film which is yet to be named. Shriya will be the leading lady of the film and director Vetri Maaran supposedly has impressed Dhanush with a wonderful story. Birthday wishes E-mail :dhanush_aish@yahoo.com

Vadivelu replaced with Vivek in Padikkathavan

Dhanush has a habit of not depending on any other person in his movies. He keeps away all from his movies whom can be identified by name by public. This applies to comedians too. None of his movies ever had Vadivelu or Vivek. For the first time Dhanush accepted to have Vadivelu in his movie 'Padikkathavan'. Vadivelu was assigned with a salary of Rs 700,000 for per day shooting. When Vadivelu came to the shooting spot, no one in the spot was able to withstand or digest the 'Raavady' done by him. Danush ordered the director and producer of his movie to replace Vadivelu with immediate effect. So Vadivelu was shown the exit door after settling all of his dues. The director approached Vivek, and Vivek accepted the offer without any hesitations.

Before announcing this YSS title, he made many young men from all over Tamil Nadu to assemble in front of him. Many have come to Chennai even from Kanyakumari! Dhanush advised his fans to take care of their families first and then to spend money for his welfare!!!

Padikathavan Dhanush and Vadivelu

The latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Vadivelu has opted out of the movie 'Padikathavan' in which Dhanush plays the lead role. The movie brings together Dhanush and director Suraj. The latter was an associate to Sundar C and is known for his hilarious style of writing. 'Padikathavan' went to the floors recently and Vadivelu was assigned to play the comedian and few scenes were also shot. Rumors are agog that due to some undisclosed reasons, Vadivelu has opted out of the project. This sure would be a huge blow to the project. Search is on for a comedian to replace him. Interestingly Suraj and Vadivelu came together to render one of the best comedy sequences last year in 'Thalainagaram'. Vadivelu's character as Naai Sekar was a riot and won many accolades.

Gone are the days when permission to film in railway stations and airports was as easy as pie. Due to these crowded places becoming soft targets for terrorists, the authorities are leaving no stone unturned with their security measures. Therefore, obtaining permission to shoot in railway stations and airports has become very hard and troublesome. Even when permissions are granted, filmmakers find it extremely difficult to complete all the shots within the stipulated time. The makers of the film 'Sathyam' needed an airport to film an action sequence. Airports in India said NO while an airport in Dubai said YES. The crew went over there and canned the shots. Jeevan was supposed to star in a film titled 'Payannigal Gavanathirkku' and the film was to be shot extensively in railway stations. Since permission did not come their way the film sadly had to be abandoned. Dhanush's 'Padikkadhavan' needs a railway station to can some 'vital' scenes. Not sure if permission would come their way, the filmmakers decided to erect a railway station set at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. Sources say tremendous effort has been put in to bring about the authentic effort. A wise decision indeed by the team that bears the name 'Padikkadhavan'.

The film stars Rajinikanth, Nayantara, Meena, Pasupathi and Vadivelu. The filming is almost complete now except for one song which celebrates the completion of 75 years of Tamil Cinema. The makers of Kuselan have decided to make this song incredibly grand. That is the reason they have decided to rope in all the frontline actors of Kollywood. The song begins with the words 'Cinema…cinema…MGR, Sivaji, NTR….ivargal irundha cinema…..inimale idhu pol varuma'. P. Vasu, the director of Kuselan, said that the audio of Kuselan will be released worldwide on June 30, 2008.The music of this film is by G.V. Prakash. The film will be released in July.

Dhanush schedule of “Padikkathavan”

Dhanush was chilling out at home after the first schedule of "Padikkathavan" was completed successfully. He told dhanushtheactor.com: "Working with a good team ensures a lot of growth for a young actor. For me, working in a good commercial cinema gives a great kick. And if the film turns out to be a hit, you shut everyone's mouth and have that satisfaction of providing sensible entertainment to your fans". So what does he do during free time this week? Says Dhanush: I am enjoying this small break and is trying to catch up with some good movies. Watched Taare Zameen Par and was so maha touched by the film. Suman to act with Danush

Suman, after his successful appearance in Rajini's Sivaji, he is to do a role with Danush in Padikkathavan. Suman plays a dreaded villain in the movie. Padikathavan is directed by Suraj, who rendered hits like Thalainagaram and Marudhamalai. It may be recalled that Shriya, who played Rajnikanth's heroine in Sivaji went on to romance Dhanush in Thiruvilayadal Arambham.

Dhanush in Aishwarya Films

It looks like Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya has taken a cue from her sister Soundarya, who is the owner of Ocher Studios. Aishwarya will be assistant director to Selvaraghavan whenever he directs her husband,Actor Dhanush. Is this to learn direction or is it to censor his onscreen actions? We sure don't know. But it looks like pretty soon, we might get to see Aishwarya as a full-fledged director.

Dhanush: Going his FIL’s way

It seems that Dhanush is totally been inspired by his father-in-law Rajinikanth. After naming his movies 'Polladhavan' and 'Padikadhavan' and acting in the remix of Ennama Kannu Sowkyama in 'Thiruvilayadal Arambam', the actor now says that he would like to remake 'Netrikkan'. "'Netrikkan' is one of my all time favorites of Rajinikanth. His performance was simple and stunning, especially in the role of an old businessman, who lusts on young women. I would like to act in its remake." "Rajini is a man of perfection. My admiration for him grew manifold after watching him in close quarters", he says.

Director Jawahar has reportedly changed the climax of his movie 'Yaradi Nee Mohini' starring Dhanush and Nayantara. A remake of Selvaraghavan's 'Adavari Matalukku Ardhale Verulae', the Tamil version hit the screen a couple of weeks ago and is reportedly doing a brisk business. Meanwhile, following demand from a section of audience the director has opted to change the climax. Dhanush hints on a career change!

Dhanush, after a highly successful start had a few flops before re-emerging victorious with a string of successes. In fact the actor has given two consecutive hits – Polladhavan and Yaaradi Nee Mohini. His recent successes are attributed to his ability to judge what his fans want out of him and the way he presents it to them. Interestingly, this actor has a strong inclination towards direction. But with such good perceptiveness – why should it not be? His fondness for direction was also evident when he spoke at the audio launch of the film Sakkaravyugam, where he said that despite the star value, movies fail to attract crowds beyond four days. He also emphasized that directors should take time to present each movie in a different way rather than mechanically going ahead with filming and releasing. "The script needs to have interesting little twists to hold the viewer's interest," Dhanush mentioned. Is this talk a clear indication that he is edging closer towards direction?

Dhanush elevates as a Director

To fix Simbhu, Danush is all set to become director. Danush, as a director, publish his profile which says he is son of a very famous director - Kasthuri Raja and brother of famous director Selvaragavan, and son-in-law of Tamil Super Star Rajini Kanth. The profile itself is aimed to hit at Simbhu. Unlike Simbhu, Danush will be directing another guy as hero in his movie, which will be a more challenging job. Danush says that he has planned everthing well for almost 5 years and with the guidance of seniors and well wishers he will succeed in his job, which is totally contradictory to Simbu's style of work. Cine News: Kamal Vs Rajini then came Vijay Vs Ajith and now Danush vs Simbhu, all the news are keeping the media busy and the readers entertained. Vaazka Tamil cinemavum, ithu pondra pottiyum!

Dhanush in Padikadhavan

With Yaaradi Nee Mohini hitting the screens, Dhanush is now gearing up for his next film. Title: Padikadhavan. The film's first still was released yesterday amidst much curiosity among is fans. Though titled as such, the photograph depicts Dhanush as a highly educated intellectual. We need to wait for a while to know what it is all about. Tamanna plays Dhanush's on-screen pair. The title, of course, is that of a yesteryear Rajini hit, which also starred Sivaji Ganesan. According to Kollywood circles, sentiment plays a pivotal role in titling Dhanush's films. If you recall, his Thiruvilayadal Aarambam, became a smash hit. Incidentally, Sivaji played the lead role in Thiruvilayadal a few decades ago. More recently, his film Polladhavan, another Rajini hit, also sent the cash registers ticking away to glory. Perhaps, this time too, the producers want to cash in on this newfound sentiment.

Yaradi Nee Mohini censored

Dhanush's new film Yaradi Nee Mohini has been censored with a clean U certificate on Thursday evening. The film which is a remake of the Telugu hit Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule is a romantic drama with comedy, emotion, sentiments and great music. The censor board members who saw the film say that it is a perfect outing for family audiences sans any violence, action or lewd dialogues. For a change, Nayanthara has a performance oriented role of a girl-next-door with no big glamour and she is said to have done a decent job. Remember that Trisha who did the original, recently bagged the MAA TV award for Best Actress for the same role. Yaradi Nee Mohini is scheduled for release by first week of April with over 200 prints. Dhanush in ‘Padikkathaavan’

Dhanush's romance with Rajini titles continues. Following the successful film 'Polladhavan,' he is now set to act in a film titled 'Padikkaathavan'. The movie will be directed by Suraj and produced by the seasoned production house Vauhini Combines. It was Dhanush who insisted that the movie should have a title from Superstar's hit movies. Suraj, it is said, promptly suggested two titles as 'Vitudhalai' and 'Padikkaathavan' and Dhanush selected the second one. So 'Padikkaathavan' follows 'Polladhavan'. As we have reported earlier, Dhanush's project with 'Polladhavan' director Vetri Maaran is confirmed. The movie will be started after Dhanush completes Suraj's film. Suraj, who gave a hit movie 'Marudamalai' starring Arjun last year, has prepared a fun filled action script that impressed Dhanush very much. Music will be done by Mani Sharma and the choice of the heroine is yet to be finalized. The film will go to floors in April.

Dhanush next film for Suraj!

Dhanush is certainly flying high after the stupendous success of Pollathavan, a film that was critically acclaimed and turned out to be a money-spinner at the box-office. And now, the young actor is taking some bold steps to strengthen his position which has come due to his own hard work and determination in Kollywood superstar race. Dhanush's priority has changed, and is now looking at his scripts with a fine comb. He has decided to opt out of the Tamil remake of Jab We Met for Moserbaer, as it "not a challenging job" and instead he has signed a film for Vijay Vauhini to be directed by Suraj. Says Dhanush: "Suraj has come forward with an exciting fun movie laced with action, which I found to be exciting. It will be my next film which will start in April. Music is by Mani Sharma and we are on the lookout for a new heroine." Incidentally, Suraj's last release Maruthamalai was a hit. And now, Dhanush's film with the Pollathavan team directed by Vetrimaran has been postponed, and will start only after Suraj's film. Says Dhanush: "Vetri is a serious film maker and he wanted time to work on his script. I will do the film when Vetri is ready with the script, and during that period I will do Suraj's film. Both these films will release in 2008."

Dhanush expose the success formula

Dhanush is riding high on a success wave with Polladhavan. This film has earned him acclaim and is doing well among the Pongal releases too. Now he has been approached by film makers with similar scripts but the actor wants to play it safe and wishes to wait for the response of his next film Yaaradi Nee Mohini with Nayanthara. This film is a remake of his brother Selva's Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule which was a blockbuster hit in Andhra Pradesh. AMAV is a family theme with romance and comedy knotted. Dhanush says that in Yaaradi Nee Mohini his role is very different from the ones that he has essayed all along and would be a pleasant surprise for his fans. He further adds, "In Sullan, I did a role which was much away from my age and appearance. But in Polladhavan, there is a combination of comedy and action which stuck the right musical tones with the audience. In film industry, I have realized that for any hero to become commercially successful, he needs to combine action and comedy. I believe that this is the secret formula of success.

Dhanush’s pleasant shock to Vetrimaran!

Gifting a car to the successful producers was a culture started by Ajith. Such a culture was handled well by Sathyaraj in a film. But this is worthy of appreciation as it involves lakhs of rupees. The success of 'Polladhavan' has thrilled Dhanush. In his happiness, he has invited Vetrimaran to accompany him in his car for a drive. But the drive ended at Honda car showroom. There Dhanush give Vetrimaran a pleasant shock by handing over a car key to him.

Dhanush comes around

Actor Dhanush likes to shoot in indoor locations as much as possible. He is more comfortable working in indoors than at actual locations. But director Vetri Maaran is quite opposite. Maaran tries to shoot all his films in outside locations as much as possible. The director feels that the natural surrounding gives a rich and unique look to the film. The feel is otherwise missing in erected sets. The film 'Polladhavan' proved his point. After seeing the reception by the audience, Dhanush has now veered around to the view that actual locations are the best. So he will not have any doubts in shooting at outdoor locations from now on.

A Dhanush-Mysskin combination

It seems that Dhanush would soon join hands with director Mysskin. The actor, who was totally impressed with the talent of the filmmaker, revealed this at the audio launch of Mysskin's Anjathey in Chennai recently. 'One day, Mysskin narrated me a story. I was stunned by the way he explained me the script. Such was his reactions and there is a beautiful actor in him. However, I suggested him that he himself would perform the role better than anyone.' In his address, Mysskin thanked Prasanna for accepting a negative role in the film. 'It needs tremendous guts to do such a challenging character. No actor than Prassanna would have accepted it,' he said. Others participated in the function included Dhanush, Naren, Vijayalakshmi, Kalaipuli G Sekaran, SA Chandrasekar and Saran.

Dhanush in ‘Murattukaalai’?

Dhanush is taking care of his call sheet and salary issues on his own after the marriage. Now, following the success of 'Polladhavan', he is believed to have accepted to act up for two films, one is for the same producer and another is for Raja, the producer of 'Rameswaram'. Since the choice of the director for both the projects is yet to be decided, the choice of the immediate next project too is yet to be decided. In the meantime, Dhanush has developed a new trait as an entertaining speaker in public functions. Sathyaraj is known for his colourful and very funny speeches in function. Now Dhanush has started delivering such speeches. His speech in 'Anjathey' audio release was one such incident. When inquiry about this, he simply says he speaks his heart and that is liked by everyone. Since his film bearing the title of his father in law's movie ('Polladhavan') was a huge hit, he wants to do the same in his next movie. His choice? 'Murattukaalai'!

Pollaadhavan’s Third Eye

Pollaadhavan that released during Diwali this year, was lauded for its realistic picturization and deadly fight sequences. The movie's cinematographer, R. Velraj is afloat on cloud nine owing to the appreciation he has received from Kollywood VIP such as Balu Mahendra, Thiru and K.V. Anandh. Tutored by Thiru, Velraj earned his first two films by impressing his guru. Two movies that Thiru was supposed to work on, he gave to Velraj, which includes Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram. Velraj landed the opportunity to work on Pollaadhavan, thanks to Dhanush's recommendation to director Vettrimaran. And he lived up to Dhanush's confidence. While talking about the Pollaadhavan experience, Velraj speech marks the shooting of a sequence in Pudupet, Chennai. The scene was set to take place in the night. Ideally, such a scene would have been shot in the studio, but in order to give the movie a realistic feel the scene was shot at the actual location between midnight and 5 a.m.! Such hard work has paid off indeed!

Dhanush’s speech on ‘Anjathe’ audio release function

Actor Dhanush's speech at the audio release function of the film Anjathe turned out to be very interesting. Praising Anjathe's director Misskin to no end for his capabilities, Dhanush recalled that the director approached him for a movie that revolves around a mentally ill person. As it had become a trend nowadays for directors to turn into actor, Dhanush recommended that the director should act in the movie as he had acted out some scenes wonderfully while narrating the story. While Misskin jocularly replied that it was not possible to act with his physical structure the actor, in a lighter vein, replied that: "When I could, why not you?" S.A. Chandrasekhar, speaking at the event, said that doing an anti role is not easy and commended Prasanna for doing a great job at that. Director Misskin disclosed that he drew inspiration from a real life character, an honest policeman, who happens to be his friend. Agathiyan's daughter Vijayalakshmi, plays the female lead. Lamenting that song sequences in films require a lot of time, he said, they needed to be included for commercial purposes. Bheema is ready to be released for the big Pongal 2008

The Telugu super hit Arya created a star out of Allu Arjun in the lead. Dhanush Touches Three Crore.

Following the marketable success of 'Polladhavan' and the complements by the media, Dhanush is said to have raised his salary from 1.5 crore to 3 crore. Despite having many hit movies like 'Kadhal Konden' and 'Thiruda Thirudi' under his kitty, this young hero has long been measured as a second rung hero. The major reason for this has been his variation in his success and performance as well. He does excellent job in films by Selvaraghavan and Balu Mahendra but his performances under many other directors have been average. Moreover, he has been doing stereotype roles as a happy-go-lucky boy turning a warrior. The frail looking boy's importance defying fights too were not received well by the audiences in many films. Debutant director Vetri Maaran's 'Polladhavan' changed everything. Though the initial reels show him in his typical role, the later part of the movie gives him sufficient scope to showcase his versatile talents. He has excelled in emotional scenes and he is particularly good in exuding mixed feelings of anger and agony while confronting the leader of the underworld gang in the hospital. Dhanush, easily the skinniest hero of Kollywood, has also worked hard to build his body and dared to take off his shirt in the climax fight. The hard work and sincere attempt to get into the skin of the character got him well deserved accolades and of course, a raise in his salary. Polladhavan has put him in the big bracket and it is up to him to maintain the status and climb the ladder further

Dhanush hikes his compensation after polladhavan

Recent hit polladhavan hero has hiked his compensation from 1.5 crores to 3 crores after this hit. This slim & charming hero was seen in this action and violence filled film and acceptable his role and won the hearts of many of his fans. After his film's Kadhal Kondem and Thiruda Thirudi this hero was still well thought-out as second grade hero. The major reason for this is due to his lack of consistency in offering a hit film. And he also did a young boy roles who later on turns to be a warrior. Polladhavan was a different movie. The debutant director vetrimaan showcased the hero in the go lucky guy role but in the second half a stereo type role is existing which was respected by all . Dhanush who has a slim physical type has worked on his body and has performed a action packed role which suited the films' character. By this films hit Danush has achieved a big star bracket and lets see how he maintains this in his next films.

Pollaadhavan in problem!

The Dhanush starrer Pollaadhavan has run into problem from unpredicted quarters. The film, which has received much critical acclaim, has given Dhanush a much-needed hit. However, an organization for the physically-challenged is protesting against the film for depicting them in reduced light. According to a release, the word 'nondi' (lame) is used in a undignified way in the movie. Also, it implies in a scene that a person cannot have a blissful wedded life with a physically-challenged person. This has hurt their sentiments. While reproachful the Censor Board for allowing such scenes, the organization's secretary P. Simmachandiran has called for removal of these scenes and a public apology from the director Vetri Maran.

Polladhavan going strong and steady

Dhanush - Vettri Maaran combo have tasted success with good crowds reported for Polladhavan in various centers all over the state. When Dhanush was desperate for success after a disastrous outing in Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram, Polladhavan has come as a big relief for the actor. Playing a typical 'Chennai' youth, has proved that Dhanush who has excelled in the role with amazing simplicity. The movie featured Divya in the female lead role. Speaking about the movie, Dhanush says, "Vetri Maran is a bundle of energy. He promised to deliver the best in Polladhavan and he did it". "Everything was shot in realistic locations. Scenes were shot in the busy streets-corners of Chennai and Pudhupettai automobile market with great difficulty. All credit should go the entire team", says Dhanush. On his part, director Vettri Maaran, says, "Dhanush's spontaneous performance coupled with the hard word and dedication of the co-stars helped the movie excel". Daniel Balaji played a ruffian to near perfection. He was excellent. Veteran director Balu Mahendra too appreciated his performance, informed Vetri Maaran.

Polladhavan - Realistic and engrossing

'Polladavan' is a clear winner with its reality, style, and performances. Though the violence, in some places, does make it a gruesome experience, the brutality reflected in the narrative has been justified by the script, as it attempts to show the life of ruthless underworld. Here the rules are different and so is the reality. The A certified film is strongly recommended for those who have stomach to digest some hard reality and gore violence. After all, we have seen more violence on some U certified movies as well. Polladhavan Movie Review The movie opens with a frightening fight involving Dhanush. The movie revolves around a clash between a person belonging to mafia and an innocent lower middle class boy. Prabhu (Dhanush) who has just now brutally attacked three thugs with a sword comes out of the building and rests his wounded body on his beloved bike. He is now heading towards meeting his praise catch that is Ravi (Danial Balaji), the younger brother of all powerful mafia leader of North Chennai Selvam (Kishor Kumar). He recalls, for a moment, what that bike has brought to him before moving ahead for his hunt. The flash back shows the happy-go-lucky boy longing for a Pulsar bike. It goes to show the life in a North Chennai street where life is quite difference from that of South Chennai. The boys are playing carom board on the street. Prabhu is sharing the pain of his failure to get what he loves most - a bike and a girl. The narration shows the status of Prabhu's family. The father is the breadwinner of the lower middle class family and the boy, a jobless graduate, is roaming around without responsibility. When caught red-handed for stealing pittance from his father for booze with his friends, Dhanush questions his father's responsibility towards his upbringing. The father feels humiliated and reacts sharply by arranging 70,000 rupees through his hard earned savings. He gives the money to his son and asks him to do something on his own. The boy immediately gets one of wishes fulfilled. He gets a bike. His family is stunned. But Prabhu is determined to get a job, and fortunately he gets one with the help of his bike. He joins as a loan officer in a bank. His other passion – to woo a girl (Divya Spandana) he meets in the bus stand for more than two years – too gets fulfilled. Prabhu is the happiest person on the earth. He has got a bike, got a girlfriend, and a decent job. Everything gets terribly disturbed when everything seems to be well. There is another world beneath the surface. There is a mafia gang that deals with drug trafficking and various other anti social activities. Selvam is the leader of the all powerful gang. The gang has its own complications. The younger brother Ravi of the leader is not happy with the way he is treated. He is full of jealous and anger on a gangster named 'Out' (Bhavan), who is the trusted lieutenant of Selvam. The leader is not supporting his brother doubting his talent. Ravi's grudge against his brother and out grows stronger day by day. Prabhu has a tryst with underworld when his bike gets stolen in a spot where a brutal murder takes place. Dhanush is shattered. He wants his bike back at any cost. Unfortunately, he gets to lock horns with the underworld criminals in his pursuit to find his bike. He gets into dangerous zone but his blind passion towards his bike pushes him forward. This put his and his family's life in danger. His love is in danger. The inner conflict within the underworld makes his condition worse. He is in for trouble. Big trouble indeed. Does he get back his bike and love? Could he save is family from the brutal gang? Director Vettrimaran has come out with an engrossing and realistic experience on celluloid. Making films based on the lives of underworld is not new but making it with amazing reality is. Though the movie resembles Selvaraghavan's 'Puduppettai', it maintains its individuality by sticking to a well crafted script and stylish execution. Director and his team have done their home work neatly. They have captured the dialects, mannerisms, and life style of the underworld mafia group with precision. The film has also unearthed some hitherto unexplored areas like bike theft network. He has also illustrated the functions of a modern banking network well. The characterization too is worth mentioning. Especially the character of Selvam. The nuances of father-son relationship too have been portrayed well. Well done Vettrimaran! R. Velraj, the cameraman, deserves special mention. He has worked wonders in capturing the gruesome reality of the underworld. The lighting in various time spaces is wonderful. The picturisation of climax fight is outstanding. As far as the script is concerned, the compactness is marred by two songs. One is the marriage song and another one is the item song. The love track too is weak. Daniel Balaji, Bhavan, and Kishor Kumar have brought the underworld with all its colors and shades with astonishing perfection. They all have lived up to the expectations of the director and have added credibility to the reality f the movie. Though Divya doesn't get any scope to act, she looks pretty and adds glamour to the fare. Her pleasant looks serve as complementary factor to the otherwise horrible movie. Karunas has rendered a commendable performance as an auto rickshaw driver, who helps Dhanush in his endeavors. His dialogue delivery and expressions are amazing. Santhanam, as usual, plays the friend of the hero and gives comical relief. Murali and Bhanupriya as Dhanush's parents have done their parts well. They together perfectly portray a lower middle class family. Young music director G.V. Prakash has done wonders. The songs, which are already rocking, are well picturised. The remix version of 'Engeyum Eppothum' stands out. One wonders how SPB has maintained the sweetness of his voice for so many years. Yogi B, the sensational Malaysian singer is a revelation. 'Minnalgaley' sung by Karthik and Bombay Jayashree is a soothing melody. The background score adds value to the entire events.

Dhanush Strike to Keen ‘Polladhavan’

Dhanush's film'Polladhavn' is nearing release and in that stage, they are speedily adding a song to it. "Naan Alibaba thangam, yaarum urasaadha thangam…." is the song by Yugabarathi that was anyway planned for the film.Since a appropriate dancer was not found for it, it did not get picturised. Now Brinda Parekh has done the needful. In Simbu's'Manmadhan,' Brinda Parekh set the audience salivate in the railway scene. After'Pokkiri,' Brinda will be acting in'Polladhavan.' An event that happens somewhere, turns Dhanush's life topsy turvy. This is the one line story. Other than having the title of Rajini's film,'Polladhavan' has no resemblance to the original, says director Vetrimaran. But the one concerning point is a re-mix song of Rajini's from the film. Rajini would not contradict his song to his son-in-law,would he? Enjoy, Dhanush!
