Pollaadhavan’s Third Eye

Pollaadhavan that released during Diwali this year, was lauded for its realistic picturization and deadly fight sequences. The movie's cinematographer, R. Velraj is afloat on cloud nine owing to the appreciation he has received from Kollywood VIP such as Balu Mahendra, Thiru and K.V. Anandh. Tutored by Thiru, Velraj earned his first two films by impressing his guru. Two movies that Thiru was supposed to work on, he gave to Velraj, which includes Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram. Velraj landed the opportunity to work on Pollaadhavan, thanks to Dhanush's recommendation to director Vettrimaran. And he lived up to Dhanush's confidence. While talking about the Pollaadhavan experience, Velraj speech marks the shooting of a sequence in Pudupet, Chennai. The scene was set to take place in the night. Ideally, such a scene would have been shot in the studio, but in order to give the movie a realistic feel the scene was shot at the actual location between midnight and 5 a.m.! Such hard work has paid off indeed!
